Did we get your attention? If you’re a Harry Potter fan- like we are- then planning a trip to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Orlando is definitely on the horizon.

Eva Air seriously ups their cool factor with three new Hello Kitty themed aircraft. Called Hello Kitty Jets (site is in Chinese), the jets are themed as follows:

The newly unveiled Magic Jet has a Hello Kitty with Magic Stars concept. Perched on the fuselage, Hello Kitty waves her magic wand, sprinkling shining stars and heralding the start of a happy journey. Hello Kitty’s friends and family members join her on the aircraft in a cheerful representation of friendship and love.

The concept that inspires the Apple Jet is Hello Kitty Loves Apples. The apple is the symbol for Hello Kitty. Hello Kitty is five apples tall and weighs three apples. Her favorite food is her mother’s homemade apple pie. Along the fuselage of this aircraft, a colorful display of red and green apples suggests the teamwork between EVA and Hello Kitty. From take-off to landing, Hello Kitty and her friends carry sweet apples and accompany passengers on a pleasant flight.

The third aircraft, the Global Jet tells the heartwarming story of Hello Kitty Around the World and illustrates EVA’s role in bringing the world closer together. Well-known landmarks from different countries decorate the length of the plane while Hello Kitty extends an open invitation to join her on her world travels for a lifetime of cherished memories. There’s much to love about a traditional Afternoon Tea, especially when its one with impeccable service, fine tableware, and- of course- delicious food and drink. It’s one of our favorite things to do when we visit Hong Kong, where it seems that every hotel has its own version. Here are our top three choices:

Peninsula Afternoon Tea

The tea that made Hong Kong famous, the Peninsula’s version is a classic. Yes, you might have to line up for it, but once you’re enjoying your freshly baked scones, clotted cream, and delightful selection of teas, you won’t regret it.

*Tip: The tea is traditionally taken in the Lobby of the Hotel (which also allows for people watching- and there are a lot of people here), but you can have it in the Verandah if you prefer more peace and quiet.

Four Seasons Afternoon Tea

The Four Seasons serves high tea at The Lounge, adjacent to the hotel Lobby, and for us it just might be the most delicious of all. From little choux pastry savories to amazing homemade jams, every bite (and sip- the teas are spectacular as well) was perfection.

*Tip: Love scones? This is the one to try. The Four Seasons have perfected their scones, and their clotted cream is flown in fresh from Devon.

Mandarin Oriental Afternoon Tea

Tea at Mandarin Oriental’s Clipper Lounge has been called the “hearty” choice- meaning that you’ll probably want to forego dinner after this one. We particularly enjoyed their mini sandwiches and fruit tarts, in generous portions and made from fresh, top quality ingredients. Note: you want the Mandarin Oriental on Connaught Road in Central (not the Landmark Mandarin Oriental).

*Tip: Try their Rose Petal Jam.
